Dorjechang Buddhist Centre

The Center is run by volunteers who themselves are dedicated practitioners, and are part of our warm and welcoming community. Please feel free to visit.

While we do not currently have public open hours, we have a potluck lunch most Sundays at noon that anyone is welcome to come to. Other tiimes, you can arrange a visit by appointment or come to a class or chanted meditation at the centre.  In the bookshop you will find books by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, our spiritual founder, and related meditation items, including a wonderful selection of Buddhist statues.

If you wish to participate in the activities at the center, we recommend that you begin with one of our General Program (GP) classes. The Sunday morning Prayers for World Peac or drop in classes at various venues in the evening are suitable for newcomers.  We also have regular day courses, workshops and retreats throughout the year, most of which are quite accessible for newcomers.

If you have any questions, check out our faq page, the "what to expect at a class" page and as always feel free to contact us.
