Our Teachers

Gen Kelsang Delek is the Resident Teacher of KMC Fraser Valley. She has been practicing and teaching meditation under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for 30 years. She is loved by her students for her kindness, sincere example, and the clarity of her teachings.

 Kelsang Migden: With her gentle and loving manner, western Buddhist nun Kelsang Migden presents Buddha’s teachings with joy and clarity.  Midgen teaches our South Surrey/White Rock Class and Kids Meditation class on Sundays.

Kelsang Chenma is a western Buddhist nun.   She is well loved for her kindness and compassionate teachings.

 Kelsang Tsalden is a western Buddhist nun and a member of the Teacher Training Program.  She has taught in many venues including Bodhichitta Centre in Victoria, Duncan, Langford and James Bay.   Tsalden draws from both her meditation and life experiences to make her teaching clear, meaningful and practical.

Sandy Darrell is currently our Administrative Director and has many years of experience teaching and volunteering at meditation centres.   Sandy is a gentle, compassionate teacher.   Her kind wisdom brings comfort and relaxation to each of her meditation sessions.

Chaplain Kelly McCallum teaches meditation and the Foundation Program to inmates in BC Corrections – North Fraser Pretrial Centre (Port Coquitlam).  For several years she also offered classes for School District #42 (Maple Ridge) at The Storefront Alternative School and in Maple Ridge at the CEED centre.  Kelly is a compassionate and hardworking teacher.

 Jill Arseneau is our Education Program Coordinator. She also teaches the Foundation Program and many other courses at our centre in Abbotsford.   Her practical, real-life examples and deep understanding bring these teachings to life!

IMG_0132-2Laurel Leaman-Konrad: For many years Laurel  was the Education Program Coordinator of Kadampa Meditation Centre Fraser Valley.  She currently teaches meditation classes Thursday evening in Maple Ridge and Tuesday morning in Abbotsford.  She also teaches day courses courses at our centre in Abbotsford.  Laurel is an experienced Kadampa teacher and people enjoy her joyful, practical, true-to-life teachings.

Gloria Borrows teaches in Maple Ridge and at the main centre in Abbotsford.  She has a kind, patient heart that shines through in each and every one of her clear, inspiring teachings. In the past, Gloria kindly volunteered as our Administrative Director.

Todd Arseneau is a fun, down to earth teacher at Kadampa Meditation Centre Fraser Valley. His teachings are earnest,  warm and humble – a joy to receive!  Todd teaches our Mission class and other courses at our centre in Abbotsford.
